Motivation! Tips and more...

Unmotivated to workout? Well, it is a natural thing, but here are some tips plus more to get you in the "mood" to start a regimen of working out.

1. Follow your brain, not your body. You mentally tell yourself constantly, "I want to work out more", but then your body tells you "I am too tired to work out". Rule number one do what you are telling yourself mentally, skip out on the emotional part.

2. Always at least show up to the work out. If you get through 30 minutes and wanna give up, that is okay at least you made it. However, do not let this be a habbit. This is more beginning behavior, eventually you should feel stronger and stronger with your workouts and should be able to go over an hour.

3. The basics: sleep, eat, hydrate, and relax. These are all things you need to be conscious of when you are not working out. Get a good sleep at night, eat a well balanced meal a day, drink a lot of water (with electrolytes if you can), and relax.

4. So if all of this sounds overwhelming, then get yourself a work out buddy. You will feel more committed with a friend and you will also have more fun. Also, you won't need a personal trainer because you have someone to make appointments with, keep you motivated, and spot you!

5. You do not need a gym. You can work out with just your body. For example: pushups, sit ups, and jumping jacks. These are basic moves to get you started. Remember to stretch, stretch, stretch! Use Youtube.com for tutorials on workouts you need to know or just ask someone how to do these moves correctly if you do not know.

Note: Working out can be very difficult to do for some people. If you feel you are not mentall ready to work out, try seeing someone to talk about this like a counselor or therapist before starting a workout regimen. Also, always consult with a doctor to make sure you are workout ready, especially if you have not done so in several years.

Be healthy, be happy people!
