Excuses, excuses, excuses...
Everyone has one, right? Even on my worse days I can relate to the excuses in this image. However, excuses are normal as they run through our head. I believe it is our ability to overcome excuses at the end of the day that is going to make us stronger.
Even better, let us think of ways to minimize the chances of giving into excuses. Here are ten ways to make sure you do not miss out on your exercise routine!
1. Make your exercise routine easy and accessible. Of course you will skip out on exercising if your gym is 5 miles away from home! Don't drive your self crazy, make it simple. The easier the access, the more likely you will engage in your exercise.
2. Set realistic expectations. Just started exercising? Then try a brisk walk, not running ten miles :) (Make sure to consult with a professional before starting a program).
3. Get in touch with how you feel about exercising. For example, ask yourself "why am I exercising?" It is better to have an intrinsic motivation like, it boosts your mood, versus an extrinsic motivation like, I want six pack abs.
4. Make sure you are taking care of your other needs like hydration, sleep, and eating properly. If these are not well taken care of it may sabotage your desire to exercise.
5. Have a balanced diet. Have a diet of whole fruits, vegetables, grains, and protein. Herbalife's products are perfect for this since it makes it very convenient to get the nutrition you need. (Order here: www.goherbalife.com/saraidarbandi).
6. Engage in exercise you enjoy. If you do not enjoy going to the gym, then do not choose this method. There are many places and ways to exercise. Be creative.
7. More inclined to workout with a buddy? Then make a date! Holding each other accountable may be just the thing you need. Plus spending time with others who are active will influence you to be more active!
8. Try and engage in activities that you get joy and happiness from. Avoid the "I have to do this attitude". If you engage in activities that you love, it will be a better way to guarantee your exercise routine.
9. Reward yourself for what you have accomplished!!!
10. Have fun and NEVER beat yourself up, you are only human.
