Cutting out soda

Hello there everyone out there in cyber space. I am here to tell you that the wonderful beverage that comes in a long, sleek, fits right in your hand shape , can potentially be harming you more than you know it. Yep, I am talking about soda.

So, why is soda potentially harmful to your health? Well, let me first say that I believe that everything should be consumed in moderation, except soda. I truly believe one should eliminate soda from their diet.

Soda has approximatley 140 calories and 39 sugars in one car. You may be thinking that 140 calories is not that much, but it is not about how much calories in this case. Rather ask your self, what are you putting into your body? Nothing. Or at least thats how I would describe it.

Your body requires protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitmains, and minerals to support healthy body weight and feeling good, which soda does not provide.

Although soda provides sugar/carbohydrates, remember you can get sugar from multiple other sources like fruit and other natural resources.

If you want to make a change this year or just in your health in general this is one small step you can take to a healthier you.

Instead of consuming soda try consuming water with electrolytes or eat fresh fruit. Both of these options will hydrate your body and provide your body with the nutrients you need.

If you feel that you have to have a soda, choose diet, but do not have one everyday as diet soda can be bad for you as well with the sodium levels and added chemicals.

Lastly, if you are finding it hard to give up soda, ask yourself why you are drinking soda in the first place? Is it because it tastes good, childhood memories, bad habbit? It is important to know why you are doing something.

Always look at nutrition labels, this will be your guide to small changes and watch those added sugars!
